Last week Tom and I went for a day long walk in the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen, in the west of the Netherlands near the coast between Zandvoort and Noordwijk. There are supposed to be many foxes but they did not feel like showing themselves. It was very cold and the area is quite big. I have 2 big blisters as a souvenir. Anyway the scenery is great and we saw a lot of Fallow Deer. Photographing them was quite tricky because they are very shy and the light was very harsh. Furthermore 2 Red Robins, a shivering common blackbird and some landscape pictures.
You can find all new additions in the albums Deer, Birds and The Netherlands.
After we got home again there was a nice surprise waiting for me. The bowl our neighbor Albert Jan was making for me out of wood of a taxus was finished. It turned out great and I am very happy with it. On the left side of the picture below the original slice from the stem of the taxus. To the right the finished result.
